Sometimes work or school gets a little stressful and you just need a break. Today is just the day for such a situation: Stay Home Because You're Well Day. Everyone needs a day to relax and do things for themselves, and every once in a while that day ought to fall on a weekday!

For those of you who have a day off congrats! For those of you who don't, there's always next year!

Hey there everyone! November is National Novel Writing Month. It's a month devoted to spreading the concept of literary creativity to those who may not regularly be considering it. If you want to get involved check out nanowrimo.org. This ducky is ready to read your novel (reading the same old book all the time gets a little boring!), so let us know if you end up writing something.

If you happen to remember, the Duck of the Day 7 Days ago marked the beginning of Better Conversation Week. Today is the day that brings it to a close. It is also fittingly the National Day of Listening because, as you know, conversations aren't all about talking!

This duck can quack all day long! But all rubber duckies are Quacktacular listeners. Today might be a day to really listen to friends and family to understand each individual and his or her situation. Sometimes all that's needed is a great listener!

November is a month devoted towards awareness of many different medical conditions. These include conditions like epilepsy, Alzheimer's and AIDS. In addition to recognizing these conditions, we would like to use this rubber ducky to say thank you to all of the doctors who heal and help us every day!

Duck of the Day #173 (11/25/2011)

Hello Quacker Fans! We are bringing the Duck of the Day to the Adventures with Quacky blog. We aren't currently planning on removing the tradition from Facebook because we know we have loyal fans. We just want to be able to open it up to new duck lovers who may not use Facebook, or who don't know about our Facebook page. Hope you enjoy!

The first Duck of the Day to reach the blog is a Black Friday ducky. Black Friday is, of course, a day to get out and buy all your Christmas presents (or just take advantage of all the deals).

Hopefully you didn't have to get up too early this morning, but if you did then we hope you got what you were looking for!

August Giveaway

The August Giveaway has been going on for a almost two weeks now and only four people have entered. That's a terribly low number! All you need to do is take a picture of your favorite ducky and post it on our Facebook page. If you can’t find a picture you can just type up a description and post that instead.

For example: If you love the earth, and taking care of it in responsible ways you could post a picture like the one at the top of this article!

This giveaway is a $50 gift certificate usable in the stores or online! It’s so easy to enter and we are feeling lonely with our four participants.
