Madison Square Garden - Duck of the Day #358

Good evening Quacker fans! Today marks the opening of Madison Square Garden. Not the one you and I are familiar with, the one that opened in 1879. Madison Square Garden has been through more iterations than just about any other sports arena out there.

The late 1870s were filled with circus type activities and horse racing (if you look closely, you can see one in this picture!).

Today was the day that Einstein's Theory of Relativity was tested and proven. It completely changed the way scientists look at the universe and prompted huge pushes forward in almost every physical science.

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge opening. It is one of the most beautiful and widely acclaimed structures in the world and is often a symbol of the US and of California.
