First U.S. Hospital - Duck of the Day #250

Today marks the opening of the first hospital in the US. The title belongs to the Pennsylvania Hospital, opened by Benjamin Franklin in 1752. Of note, the first matron was actually a Quaker, not a Quacker (as the picture might suggest!). The hospital is still around today, serving those in the Philadelphia area.

Hope you all have a fun and exciting day, but not so exciting that you have to take a trip to any healthcare facilities!
